On Saturday, a cycling spectacle took place in the picturesque city of Ptuj in the form of a circular race for the POLI CUP 2024, organized by the Perutnina Ptuj Cycling Club.
The race attracted many young male and female cyclists who competed in various categories: from boys in classes C, B and A to younger juniors and older juniors and members.
The race circuit, 4 kilometers long, was completely flat, which allowed for fast and tense battles. The participants had to show both their speed and tactical skill in order to successfully maneuver through the crowd of competitors and take advantage of every opportunity to break through to the front.
You can visit the website for the exact results and rankings of the POLI CUP 2024 log in.se, where detailed information on times and places achieved by competitors in individual categories is available. A visit to this page will certainly offer a comprehensive insight into the successes of our male and female cyclists, who proved to be exceptional athletes in Ptuj.
The entire event was very well organized, which enabled young cyclists to compete with their peers from different parts of Slovenia in a safe and stimulating environment. The Ptuj circuit race for POLI CUP 2024 will certainly remain a fond memory for both competitors and visitors, who were able to enjoy dynamic and exciting races throughout the day.
In the center of the action was the four-day stage race Belgrade - Banjaluka, where Dylan Hopkins spectacularly won the first stage, the 22-year-old Australian, who represents the colors of our Ljubljana Gusto Santic, showed exceptional strength and tactical skill.
Also on the scene was the five-day Giro Mediterraneo Rosa race, where our team BTC City Ljubljana Zhiraf Ambedo was represented by Giada Borghesi. Giada also dominated and won the first stage, which shows the strength and depth of talent we have in our teams. These are days that we will remember for a long time, as our male and female cyclists once again proved that they are at the top of world cycling.
