I FEEL SLO GP Novo mesto | Velodrome – Day 1 and Day 2 Pika Team

The girls from the Pika Team successfully tested themselves at the velodrome for two days in a row at the I Feel SLO GP Novo mesto race.

The competition featured a variety of disciplines, fierce competition, and valuable experience on the track.

Day 1 – elimination race

The first day was dedicated to elimination races for all categories of girls, where our competitors showed courage and good tactical riding.

Pogi Team at winter training in Ribno: training, knowledge, and unforgettable views

The Pogi Team is in full swing with preparations at Glamping Ribno, where we have temporarily put our bikes away and replaced them with hiking boots and warm winter gear. Together with the Pika Team and our senior team, we have spiced up our training with activities that will contribute significantly to our future success.

The first part of our preparations took us to Hudičev Boršt, where we were greeted by a true winter idyll. Nature once again showed its beauty—the views of snow-covered Slovenia were worth every step and every drop of sweat as we climbed toward the summit and our goals.

In addition to physical training, we also devoted a lot of attention to education. In the afternoon, Samo Rauter led us through an extremely interesting lecture on monitoring data during training, which will help us take our training to an even higher level. We were also visited by Dr. Krištof Knap, who presented the key guidelines for proper nutrition for athletes—knowledge that is the foundation of long-term success. We sincerely thank both of them for their time, expertise, and valuable insights.

Our stay was made even more enjoyable by Hotel Ribno, which welcomed us with open arms and provided us with a sports-filled and unforgettable weekend. Their hospitality was the icing on the cake of our intense yet magical winter preparations.

Motivation is growing, preparations are underway — and with a team like ours, we know we are on the right track.

New paths, same goals – Volvo and Pogi Team united for the future

On Friday, October 24, 2025,the Volvo Car CenterinLjubljana hostedthe official handover ofseven new Volvo XC40 vehicles, which will accompany thePogi Team UAE Generali, Pika Teamby Mastercard, andPogi Team Gusto Ljubljanain all important competitions at home and abroad in the coming seasons.

The vehicles wereofficially handed over by Andrej Pleško, head of Volvo Car Center Ljubljana, and accepted byAndrej Hauptman, president of the Rog Ljubljana Cycling Club, who emphasized the importance of reliable and safe support in the development of young Slovenian cyclists.

"We are delighted to continue our partnership with Volvo, as values such as reliability, safety, and responsibility are also the foundation of our operations. A 130 km flat race, full of action right from the start!

At the start of the race, a large group of escapees broke away, in which we had strong representation: Petrič, Kuntarič, Žibert, Ebner, and Maksimović.

Vanja and another cyclist later broke away from this group — the pair held on all the way to the finish line!

Pogi Challenge 2025 – more than just a cycling race

Last weekend saw the second edition of the hugely popular recreational race Pogi Challenge – S klanca na klanc(From Hill to Hill), which once again brought together more than a thousand cycling enthusiasts from all over Slovenia and abroad.
The event, which combines sport, socialising and charity, once again showed how cycling can bring together different generations and communities.

Members of the Pogi Team UAE Generali and Pika Team by Mastercard also participated in organizing the event, providing technical support, expert advice, and assistance in running the race. Our coaches, mechanics, and volunteers ensured technical safety, smooth running of the race, and support for participants, while many of our competitors also tested their skills on the track.

The event was organized in cooperation with the Extrem agency and sponsored by Tadej Pogačar, whose presence further heightened the enthusiasm among cycling enthusiasts. With more than 1,200 registered cyclists, the Pogi Challenge has become one of the largest recreational cycling events in Slovenia and an important part of the wider cycling community that we are building together.

For our club, this was an opportunity to show how important cooperation and knowledge are, which we also transfer to the organization of sporting events.
We are already looking forward to the next event—with the same goal: to promote cycling, exercise, and the joy of sport.

25th final race – dm Grand Prix – Tilna Petrič Memorial + photo gallery

Yesterday, the 25th anniversary final race – the dm Grand Prix – Tiln Petrič Memorial took place in Podsmrek, which also counted towards the Slovenian Cup and was the final race for the Pogi Cup for girls and boys.

The event took place in challenging weather conditions – it rained all day, so the organizers were forced to shorten the number of laps. Nevertheless, the competitors showed exceptional fighting spirit and sportsmanship.
Younger and older juniors and members also competed in separate starts, providing an exciting end to the cycling season.

Congratulations to all participants and thanks to everyone who helped create another unforgettable cycling story in memory of Tiln Petrič.

Gal Klun takes second place at Coppa d’Oro – Borgo Valsugano, Italy – September 14, 2025

The biggest race for younger juniors in the U17 category, in which 370 cyclists competed, was very successful for the Pogi Team! 130 of them reached the finish line – including all of our Pogi Team members.

The biggest hero of the day was Gal Klun, who made a decisive breakaway in the final laps. On the penultimate climb, he and his rival Maks Olenik (Meblojogi Proconcrete) were left alone in the lead. The group was unable to catch up with them – Olenik won the final sprint, while Gal took an excellent 2nd place!
He deserves special praise because this year is Gal's first year as a junior.

The other guys also showed excellent teamwork:

* Despite two falls, Miha Otoničar cycled his way to 16th place!
* Maks Linke courageously joined one of the escape attempts.
* Urban Hvastija selflessly sacrificed himself for the team.

The boys fought hard, the team was united, and the result proves once again that we belong at the top! (Photos attached)

25th dm Grand Prix – Tilna Petrič Memorial

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the final race for the Slovenian Cup and the final race for the Pogi Cup will take place in Podsmrek. Girls, boys, younger and older juniors, and members will compete.

The circuit is 3,100 meters long, and the venue will be in the center of the Rotar Center Eurogarden. The competition promises exciting battles between the best young Slovenian cyclists and a wonderful sporting atmosphere.

You are invited to join us in celebrating the 25th anniversary and honoring the memory of Tiln Petrič!
