On March 7, 2026, the national track cycling championships for boys and girls were held at the velodrome in Češča vas. Our Pogiteam and Pikateam riders competed brilliantly and stood on the podium in some events 🥇🥈🥉👏

2. The Piran Municipality Grand Prix Thrilled Spectators with Top-Notch Racing

Last Saturday, Portorož Airport hostedthe 2nd Piran Municipality Grand Prix, which, organized by the Rog Ljubljana Cycling Club, once again confirmed its status as one of the most attractive cycling events for young people in the region.

The event, which combines an international race with the Slovenian Cup race, attracted numerous promising cyclists from Slovenia and abroad to the starting line. From the very first laps, we witnessed exceptionally dynamic racing, numerous attacks, and a battle for every meter, which created an excellent atmosphere along the course.

The runway at Portorož has once again proven to be the ideal venue—safe, fast, and easy to navigate, making for exciting and tactically challenging races.

Top results in all categories

In the older youth category,Mai Prevejšek (KK Novo mesto) took first place,David Adam (Meblojogi – Pro Concrete) finished second, andMassimo Podo (ASD Libertas Cerese) came in third.

Among the younger juniors, the cyclistsfrom POGI Team UAE Generali put in an excellent performance, withUrban Hvastija taking first place,Maks Linke coming in second, andRelja Nikačević (KK Novo mesto) finishing third.

In the younger junior women's category,Kaja Adam (Perutnina Ptuj) was the fastest, ahead ofViktoria Neudeck (LRV Steiermark)andŽiva Bohak (Perutnina Ptuj).

In the older junior women’s category,Elena D’Agnese (ASD Libertas Cerese) took first place,Iva Colnar (Pika Team by Mastercard) came in second, andCamilla Murro (ASD Libertas Cerese) finished third.

In the women’s under-23 category,Emilie Patru (Pika Team by Mastercard) took first place,Anet Trakonja (BORN TO WIN BTC CITY) finished second, andDominika Štrukelj (BORN TO WIN BTC CITY) came in third.

A Cycling Festival for All Ages

The action at the airport kicked off with promotional races for the youngest participants, which brought smiles to everyone’s faces and provided their first taste of competition. The entire day thus combined top-level sports, youthful energy, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

The organizers from KD Rog Ljubljana, together with their partners and the Municipality of Piran, have once again demonstrated their ability to create a world-class sporting event that brings together the local community and the international cycling scene.

👏 Congratulations to all the competitors on their outstanding performances, and thank you to all the supporters, partners, and visitors who were part of this unforgettable day.

Pika Team Open Day – Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. in Vikrče

Do you like cycling? Are you between 11 and 25 years old? Are you tempted to take a step forward, meet new friends, and train in a supportive environment? At Pika Team, we welcome all girls who love cycling! At our open day, you will be able to get to know our world up close.

At the event, you will have the opportunity to:

  • try out the cycling track,
  • take a test drive on the road accompanied by a trainer,
  • learn about our coaching approach,
  • take a look at the association's premises and gym,
  • learn more about training sessions and programs for different ages.

The open day is intended for all girls—beginners and those who already train—who want to learn more about cycling and what training looks like in the Pika Team development environment.

We believe in support, friendship, courage, and the joy of movement. Our goal is to create an environment where girls grow as athletes and as confident young individuals.

II. GRAND PRIZE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PIRAN – MARCH 21, 2026

On March 21, 2026, the Municipality of Piran will host the second edition of the II. Grand Prix of the Municipality of Piran cycling event, which will take place in the area of Portorož Airport. The event will bring together sports, the local community, and top cycling energy in the unique setting of Slovenian Istria.

More information about the program, registration, race schedule, and accompanying events will be published soon. An official bulletin with all the details for competitors and visitors will also be available shortly.

Pika Team by Mastercard Velodrome DP 2026

Successful conclusion of the national championship at the velodrome 2026

Thenationalchampionship for juniors and seniorsatthe velodrome is behind us, and once again it took place in a competitive and inspiring sporting atmosphere. 

Throughout the weekend, the girls of Pika Team by Mastercard showed fighting spirit, progress, and team cohesion, while gaining valuable experience on the track with each race. On the last day of competition, we recorded excellent results, confirming the good work and dedication of both the competitors and the professional team.

Successful national championship at the 2026 velodrome for Pogi Team

At the national junior track cycling championship held in Češča vas, the Pogi Team cyclists once again demonstrated their quality and excellent preparation.

The boys achieved numerous top-three finishes, confirming their place among the very best in Slovenian youth track cycling. Their medals and podium finishes are the result of systematic work, dedication, and excellent team spirit.

I Feel SLO GP Novo mesto – excellent performances by our Pogis on both days of the velodrome spectacle!

Last weekend, the velodrome in Novo Mesto hosted the two-day I Feel SLO GP Novo Mesto cycling event, where our cyclists tested their skills in demanding and dynamic disciplines. The boys of all age categories showed exceptional focus, courage, and competitive spirit, bringing home excellent results.
