Entering the new season with a bold change and a new name: Pogi Team Gusto Ljubljana

Our family is growing every year. The Pogi Team, which works with young people, has been joined by the Piko Team, and we are now happy to announce that there will also be changes to the senior team in the 2025 season. The first change is to the name. This year, you will recognize us under the name Pogi Team Gusto Ljubljana. This move will ensure even greater recognition in the world of cycling. In addition, this renaming also sends a clear message to the young people in our youth team that they do not need to worry about their future and that we can offer them the opportunity to continue their careers in the junior category.  Next season, we will have 15 cyclists in the senior team. Even the best cyclist in the world, Tadej Pogačar, moved to the junior category with our help and said on that occasion: "At first, Pogi Team was only for the youngest and older juniors for a few years. Now, this is also being transferred to the continental U23 and senior teams." You can watch the entire statement on our YouTube channel and social networks.

AWARDING OF THE GOLDEN HORNED WHEEL AND 75 YEARS OF KD ROG

Tadej Pogačar, Urška Žigart, and Gal Glivar were awarded the Golden Rog Bike for 2024, which KD Rog has been awarding since 1982. At yesterday's event at the Grand Hotel Plaza in Ljubljana, in addition to the award ceremony, we also celebrated the 75th anniversary of the largest cycling club in Slovenia.

For three quarters of a century, the Rog Ljubljana Cycling Club has been establishing itself as a cradle for young and talented cyclists. With its rich history and tradition, the club has trained numerous top cyclists and won medals at world championships and Olympic Games. The club is particularly proud of the successes achieved by former member Tadej Pogačar over the past five years. His support for young people in the Poga Team has attracted many young people and raised interest in cycling in Slovenia.

The Rog Cycling Club strives to be not just a sports club, but also a school for life, where young people learn the importance of healthy habits and hard work through sport. The club includes the Ljubljana Gusto Santic men's continental team, the BTC City Scott Ljubljana women's youth team, the BTC City Ljubljana Zhiraf Ambedo senior continental team, and the Pogi Team UAE Generali children's and youth team.

For decades, the Rog Cycling Club has also proven itself to be an excellent organizer of cycling races and events, with @maratonfranja_btc_city standing out as the largest Slovenian cycling event for amateur and recreational cyclists.
