E-seminar: THE POWER OF SPORTS ON CHILDREN'S BRAIN DEVELOPMENT - 15/02/2024 at 18:00

LECTURER Irena Kuntarič Žibert, BA. pth., spec. PT of children and adolescents under SV

On Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., you are invited to the online lecture THE POWER OF SPORTS ON CHILDREN'S BRAIN DEVELOPMENT

Science in sports increasingly emphasizes the importance of physical fitness of young people, but at the same time focuses on the increasing importance of psychological fitness. The emotions and feelings of active young people are becoming crucial, as their recognition enables effective regulation of emotions before, during and after training and competition. Young athletes experience more stressful situations, but these provide valuable experiences if they are properly addressed, evaluated, and heard. In search of success and inner satisfaction, more and more athletes resort to visualization, mindfulness techniques and breathing exercises, which have a significant effect on calming and preparing the brain for future situations.

Nowadays, burnout and (over)fatigue occur more and more often even among athletes. Therefore, psychological support for young people is even more crucial and necessary. The success of young athletes depends on supportive parents, quality coaches and a strong and supportive community.

That is why we invite you to the online lecture entitled THE POWER OF SPORTS ON CHILDREN'S BRAIN DEVELOPMENT and in this way help ourselves, young people and the community to better mental health.

INVITATION: Ghosts, professionals, coaches, sports fans and children, young people who are happy, interested and inspired by sports are invited.
