From Friday, May 5, to Sunday, May 7, the Slovenian junior national team took part in the Peace Race in the Czech town of Jevíčko. Three cyclists from the POGI TEAM were also among the representatives, namely Bor Ebner, Žan Lopatič and Bastian Petrič.

The competition took place in four stages, the first stage was the prologue, followed by the 82 km long second stage, which took place over the famous Hartinkov. The third stage was shorter, while the fourth was 84 km long. On the last day of the competition, a 15 km long time trial was scheduled.

On the last stage, Bastian Petrič attacked for a place in the top ten in the general standings, but unfortunately, after a very tiring four stages, he ran out of strength for higher places. Nevertheless, he finished the race in a still excellent 14th place, proving that he can compete with the best riders in Europe.

The Peace Race is considered one of the most important races for young people in Europe, so the participation of the Slovenian national team and the success of our cyclists is an even more important achievement. Bor Ebner, Žan Lopatič and Bastian Petrič excelled in the competition and proved that they have great potential for further development and a successful career in cycling.
