On Tuesday, 18. 2. 2025 at 6:00 PM  Dr. Borut Fonda, an internationally renowned biomechanist who has been working with the biggest cycling stars in the field of biomechanics and comprehensive performance improvement during cycling, joined us exclusively for KD Rog via an online lecture. He spoke mainly about the importance of correct bike settings and the differences in the settings themselves between young and adult cyclists. For all of you who missed the lecture or were unable to attend it due to technical limitations, we have prepared a 52-minute recording of the lecture for you.

Ceremonial handover of the bicycle of Rog cyclist Rudi Valenčič at the Depots of the State Museums in Pivka

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, on the Slovenian cultural holiday, Depots of state museums in Pivka took place ceremonial handover of Rudi Valenčič's bicycle The Museum of Recent and Contemporary History of Slovenia. The event commemorated the exceptional sporting career of one of the most successful Slovenian cyclists and his contribution to the development of cycling in our country.

Rudi Valenčič, known as eagle from Pivka, began his competitive career in 1960 in Cycling Club Rog LjubljanaBetween 1961 and 1971 he was a member of the Yugoslav national team and was considered the best Slovenian cyclist during this period. During his career he achieved 163 one-day race wins at home and abroad, won several times Race across Yugoslavia and other important tests in individual Yugoslav republics. In 1963, he celebrated stage victory at the prestigious Tour de l'Avenir, and three times he became republican road racing champion.

Of particular value is the bicycle that Valenčič donated to the museum – it was with this bicycle that he competed in the Olympic Games in Mexico City in 1968From now on, it will be part of the museum collection and on display in Depots of state museums in Pivka, where it will testify to the rich history of Slovenian cycling.

Pogi Team Gusto Ljubljana, with a new name and a major change for the new season

Our family is growing year by year. The Pogi Team, which works with young people, has been renamed Piko Team, and now we are happy to announce that in the 2025 season we will also experience changes in our member team. The first is in the name. This year you will recognize us under the name Go Team Gusto Ljubljana. With this move, we will ensure even greater recognition in the world of cycling. In addition, with this renaming, we are also clearly sending a message to the young people in our youth that they do not have to worry about the future and that we can offer them the opportunity to continue their careers in the junior category. Next season, we will have 15 cyclists in the member team. Even the best cyclist in the world, Tadej Pogačar, moved to the junior members with our help and on this occasion he said: “At first, for a few years, Pogi Team was only for the youngest and up to and including older juniors. Now this is also being transferred to the continental U23 and member team.” You can also watch the full statement on our YouTube channel and social networks.

The BTC City Ljubljana Women's Team ends 2024 at the velodrome in Novo Mesto

On Friday, Ameliia Baranova (U14) won at the Novo Mesto GP🥇in the race to the finish line, Sidney Pagon (U17) was third🥉in the points race, and Neža Zupanič (WE) also won the points race 🥇

All women's categories competed in the elimination race on Sunday in Novo mesto. Ameliia Branova (U14) and Neža Zupanič (E) won again 🥇🥇 Vesna Potočnik (U19) finished in third🥉 place 🙌

Pogi Team group photo, handover of sponsorship funds to the foundation and official handover of the motorhome to Tadej Pogačar

Vikrče, November 13th – The Rog Cycling Association was visited by the best cyclist in the world Tadej Pogačar and his chosen one Urška Žigart, the best Slovenian cyclist in the world cycling rankings.

A group photo shoot was also organized for Pogi Team members of all age categories with their role model Pogi, who took another hour after the photo shoot to take a photo with each member and in return gave them a special poster with his autograph.
After hanging out with the Pogi Team members, the official handover of sponsorship funds took place at the training ground. Tadej Pogačar Foundation in the amount of EUR 28,586.00, which were collected at the September auction "Victory Tour for a Good Cause", on which Carthage's motorhome was auctioned.
On this occasion, director Sandra Županec handed over a new Carthago motorhome to Tadej Pogačar.
Pogi was very happy with the new camper: “I am very happy to have been working with Carthago for three years. Their motorhome offers me comfort and the opportunity to relax during training and matches. I am grateful that they have now entrusted me with a new motorhome, which will continue to support me in the coming seasons.
