This year's third World Tour race for women, the Trofeo Binda, took place today in Cittiglio, Italy. The BTC City Ljubljana Zhiraf team once again had the opportunity to compete among the world scene of female cyclists, on a classic, hilly 144 km route. The final rounds were decisive, as the majority of female cyclists thinned out from round to round. The main selection took place in the last round, where Urša Pintar lost contact with the leading group of 25 cyclists and finished in 31st place. The strongest member of the Lidl-Trek team, Balsamo Elisa, was ahead of world champion Kopecky Lotte and third-placed Pieterse Puck. The other girls of the BTC City Ljubljana Zhiraf team did not finish the race.

Among the Slovenian participants at the start were Urška Žigart, who finished the race in 40th place, and Špela Kern, who crossed the finish line in 53rd place.
