One of the toughest cycling races on the women's calendar took place this weekend in the Rhône-Alpes region of France. The first category race, Alpes Grésivaudan Classic, was 113 km long, and the cyclists had to overcome an altitude difference of 3400 m and climb to the 1848 m high Chamrousse pass at the end. The start line featured a strong French contingent with favorite Evita Muzic, a member of the World Tour team FDJ, and the French team Cofidis Team. Zhiraf Ambedo and Giadi Borghesi, members of the BTC City Ljubljana team, managed to secure an excellent 6th place, thus increasing their points in the French Cup, where they are currently in the lead. Urša Pintar finished the race in 17th place. The strongest was young Frenchwoman Marion Bunel, ahead of Evita Muzic, a member of the FDJ team.
Myalitsina Yana was 50th, Špela Colnar 55th, Sklyarova Yelizaveta 58th, and Tserakh Hanna 61st.
