Older boys and girls are 13 (competition category B) and 14 (competition category A) years old. They usually have 1 to 3 years of cycling experience behind them, or at least a basic skill riding program with a group of younger boys and girls.

With the age, physical development, fitness and knowledge of the trainees, the difficulty of the training also increases. Training sessions are divided into the winter period and the cycling season. Winter training consists of running and walking in nature and exercise in the gym. We take care to provide as varied movement content as possible, as we want to ensure a broad movement development of the trainees. Training in the cycling season is mainly carried out on less busy roads and to a lesser extent on the police training ground. The primary goal is to teach cyclists during fitness training how to perform high-quality and safe training on the road, and to transfer the learned cycling skills into practice. They won the latter by practicing on the cycling training ground before joining the group of older boys and girls.

The sports lifestyle and team spirit of competitors are becoming more and more important. That is why, as a rule, we conduct winter preparations in February, which consist of cross-country skiing and hiking, and a summer cycling camp in August.

We regularly participate in local competitions, which are announced by the Cycling Federation of Slovenia, and the best are already gaining their first experience at competitions in neighboring countries. These races are usually part of the Alpe-Adria Cup, which usually consists of two starts in Italy and two in Austria.

HOW DO I JOIN KD ROG?

Rog's cycling school is called the Pogi Team cycling school.
From March to the end of October, training for the cycling school takes place at the police training ground in Tacno, where they can "try out" the special bike and learn the first kilometers in safe conditions. Trainings take place three times a week, namely on Mondays, Thursdays (from 6 to 7 p.m.) and Saturdays (from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.).
Monthly training for members of the Pogi team cycling school is free, but the annual membership fee costs 90 euros, for which you also receive a Pogi team cycling jersey and shorts.

If you are interested in becoming a member of KD Rog, write to us at info@kdrog.si, and we will return the membership statement to you.
