On Sunday, 14/05/2023, the young cyclist Jakub Husar from the Pogi Team UAE Generali team competed in the demanding cycling race Brilon Cup - Kyjov. Despite the difficult conditions on the 82.6 km long course, Jakub showed tremendous potential and deservedly placed 5th.
The race was full of challenges, as the riders had to deal with a challenging route and demanding weather conditions. Nevertheless, Jakub excelled with his endurance, strength and tactical approach. Through hard work and determination, he always stayed in the game to win.
Until the last corner before the finish, Jakub held a high position and had the opportunity to attack. Unfortunately, he was surprised by a tire slip in the last corner, which prevented him from fighting for the win. Nevertheless, he managed to keep his composure and continue the race with a quick response, which led him to an excellent 5th place.
Jakub's success in the Brilon Cup – Kyjov race is the result of his dedication to cycling, hard work and talent. With his persistent approach, he proved that he belongs to the promising young cyclists and that he has great potential for success in the future.

On Friday, May 12, 2023, a three-day cycling race was held in the idyllic Slovenian town of Idrija, which attracted many young cycling talents. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the young cyclists proved themselves with their endurance and fighting spirit.
The first day of the race featured an ascent, which was particularly challenging due to the cold weather. The young riders from the Boys C team, including Marcos Remon, performed excellently and won fourth place. Despite the fact that the weather almost resembled winter snow, they showed their extraordinary will and fought until the end.
The young cyclists from the Boys A and B teams also had to deal with rainy conditions on the somewhat longer climb route, which measured 4 km. However, this did not deter them from their goal, as they overcame obstacles with courage and perseverance and steadily approached the goal.
The race already served up challenges on the first day, which offered young cyclists the opportunity to grow and improve their cycling skills. Despite the difficult weather conditions, all the riders showed themselves with their hard work and desire to succeed.
The three-day race in Idrija continued with a time trial on Saturday and ended with a round race around the city center on Sunday.
On the second day of the three-day cycling race in Idrija, a time trial was held, where young cyclists from teams Boys A, B and C measured their strength. With their exceptional achievements, they showed their perseverance and abilities and won important podiums.
In the Boys' B team, Urban Hvastija shone and won an excellent second place. His fast time on the time trial was the result of hard work and dedication to training. Also, Franci Kranjc, also from the Dečki B team, achieved an excellent result and was looking forward to third place. With this, they showed their excellent preparation and competitive spirit.
Young cyclists from the Boys A team also shone in the time trial. Miha Otoničar showed exceptional form and was looking forward to third place. His achievement is the result of hard work and dedication to training that paid off in this race.
We sincerely congratulate all the boys on their outstanding achievements! With their effort, discipline and fighting spirit, they proved that they can compete with the best. Their excellent results in Saturday's time trial should be recognized and appreciated.

The race will attract many cycling talents, with the youngest competitors competing for the Lidl Youth Cup. It is a great opportunity for young riders to show off their skills and compete with their peers.
Who will cross the finish line this year as a winner? This remains a secret, as there will be quite a strong competition at the start. In any case, it can be expected that the local riders from the Pogi Team will ensure the enthusiasm of the local fans and fight for high places.

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, Pogi Teamovci in the composition of Domen Oblak, Jakub Husar, Tine Jenko, Matevž Zajc, Luka Gregorčič, Gašper Klanjšček, Gašper Kokalj and Žan Predojevič Band took part in the Gran Premio San Michele race. On the 117 km long course, which included ten rugged laps, the boys also had to face the famous Cá del Poggio slope.
In the end, Gašper Klanjšček was the best from Pogi Team in 19th place, while Domen Oblak finished the race in 32nd place. The run decided the winner of the race while the boys put up a good fight for an encouraging result. This score is a good indicator of readiness as it shows progress and potential for further development. We congratulate the boys on their efforts and the result achieved and wish them luck and success in future races.
From Friday, May 5, to Sunday, May 7, the Slovenian junior national team took part in the Peace Race in the Czech town of Jevíčko. Three cyclists from the POGI TEAM were also among the representatives, namely Bor Ebner, Žan Lopatič and Bastian Petrič.
The competition took place in four stages, the first stage was the prologue, followed by the 82 km long second stage, which took place over the famous Hartinkov. The third stage was shorter, while the fourth was 84 km long. On the last day of the competition, a 15 km long time trial was scheduled.
On the last stage, Bastian Petrič attacked for a place in the top ten in the general standings, but unfortunately, after a very tiring four stages, he ran out of strength for higher places. Nevertheless, he finished the race in a still excellent 14th place, proving that he can compete with the best riders in Europe.
The Peace Race is considered one of the most important races for young people in Europe, so the participation of the Slovenian national team and the success of our cyclists is an even more important achievement. Bor Ebner, Žan Lopatič and Bastian Petrič excelled in the competition and proved that they have great potential for further development and a successful career in cycling.
On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the National Championship for boys and girls, as well as the Slovenian Cup race for junior youngsters, took place in Trstenik. More than a hundred competitors from various clubs across Slovenia competed in the competition.
Among the competitors were also members of the Pogi team, who have already proven their excellence several times and did exceptionally well this time as well. The boys showed good form and achieved exceptional results.
In the boys' A category, Jure Jovanović climbed to the podium, winning an excellent third place. He was followed by Miha Otoničar in sixth place and Matic Hrastar in eighth place.
The Pogi team also achieved exceptional results in the boys' B category. Franci Kranjc was in second place, Urban Hvastija was fourth, Matevž Erjavec was sixth, and Nejc Čebulj was ninth.
In the boys category C, Ažbe Hvastija placed eighth.
Competitors in the junior junior category also showed their skills and strength. Vanja Kuntarič Žibert, who won first place, climbed the podium. Bor Ebner came in second, Žan Lopatič in fourth, and Bastian Petrič in sixth.
With their exceptional achievements, the Pogi team once again proved their exceptionality and showed that they are among the best in Slovenia. With their results, the boys earned many praises and the title of one of the best teams in the competition. After the competition, the competitors and professional staff of Pogi were able to celebrate their achievements and prepare for new competitive challenges that the future will bring.
On April 25, senior youth traditionally took part in the 68th edition of the prestigious Coppa Montes bicycle race in Italy. Jenko Tine excelled with some time on the run, but Marcel Skok achieved the best finish for Pogi Team UAE Generali in 33rd place.
The juniors competed in the Strade Fiumane race, which proved to be extremely challenging due to the rainy weather and macadam sections, which was reflected in many falls. Despite this, our riders achieved good rankings without serious injuries. Among the four escapees, Jakob Šlibar was looking forward to 3rd place, while Žan Lopatič achieved 5th place in the main sprint, and Žiga Stare finished the race right behind him in 6th place.
The international cycling race and competition for the Cup of Slovenia for junior juniors, senior juniors, senior juniors and members of the elite went flawlessly. The weather was moderately cloudy, with some sunshine, but fortunately no rain. The competition took place without major injuries.
